Mary Arwin Routt, 87, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. Mary retired from Oster Manufacturing Company after many years of service and attended East Daisy Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Edna Smith; brothers, Willie E. Smith, E.C. Smith, Larry Smith and Willard Smith, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Jo Gann and Sally Louise Smith; former husband and father of her children, Virgil Clay Sneed. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Poteet, Marsha (Billy) Guy and Patty (Gary) Graham; sons, Dewayne and Tim Sneed; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack and Robert Smith; sisters, Pansy Moore, Gerenia Ferguson, Carrie Redden and Diane Walker. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Legacy Funeral Home chapel with Bishop Jackie Penney and Rev. Lawrence Bradford officiating. Interment will follow in Varner Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
