Bill Higdon, 67, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his home. Bill retired as a truck driver after thirty seven years and was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Dorothy Higdon; siblings, Polly Davis, Ernest Higdon, Johnny Higdon, Paul Higdon, Frank Higdon, Louise Yoder, Helen Higdon, Grady Higdon and Leroy Higdon. Survivors include his wife, Lee Anne Higdon, sons, Joey Higdon and Matthew Campbell; daughters, Amanda Brett Church and Lisa Griffith; brothers, Gene, Doyle, Jerry , Junior and Brian Higdon; sisters, Peggy Bowers and Dottie Petty; grandchildren, Ethan Church, Ella Campbell, Landrie Church and Sawyer Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brian Crowe officiating and special speaker, Fatima Henderson. Interment will follow in Hickman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Friday and 11 AM until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
