Obituary of Dorothy Loretta Schenk

Dorothy Schenk Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She left us peacefully at Memorial Northpark Hospital on June 15, 2017. Dorothy’s passion for cooking and baking were enjoyed by all who were lucky enough to have a seat at her table. She was also a very talented painter, she enjoyed china painting as well as ceramics, and many other craft projects. Dorothy worked in a family owned auto parts store with her husband Guy Schenk for over 25 years. She loved to laugh and reminiscence about family and friends, she was truly a vibrant lady. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Guy Schenk Sr. And will be greatly missing by her surviving sons Guy Schenk JR. (Karla), Her son Steven Schenk(Kimberly), grandson Derek Schenk, Adam Schenk (Tina), and Ryan Schenk, along with great grandsons Mason and Aiden Schenk. Dorothy truly touched the lives of all who knew her, And we wish to thank the wonderful staff of Soddy Daisy Healthcare facility for their compassionate care of Dorothy during her stay, as well as the kind nurses of the 3rd floor at Memorial Northpark , especially Tammy Levi, she was a comforting shoulder to cry on in a very diffcult time. Thanks also to Dr. Tim Ballard for doing his absolute best to help her in a high risk surgery. We are quite certain that there is a special place in heaven for such a sweet and loving lady.
