Obituary of Dorothy Harper Jones

Dorothy Harper Jones, 85, of Hixson passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 in an area healthcare facility. She was member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior "Joe" Jones; son, Thomas Jones; daughter, Paula Jones-Hinrichs; brother, Francis Harper; sister, Marian Bagby and great-grandson, Austin Davis. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Moore of Hixson; son, Charles (Kay) Jones of New Castle, CO; daughter, Lisa Moore of Hixson; grandchildren, Brandon (Lindsay) Oglesby of Hixson, Krissa (Chad) Guess of Soddy-Daisy, Stacia Oglesby of Soddy-Daisy, Cayla (Brandon) Edmondson of Soddy-Daisy, Kendra (Dane) Wilson of New Castle, CO, Taylor (Suzy) Jones of Des Moines IA, Alexander Jones of Des Moines, IA; Jeremy and Jordan (Anika) Hinrichs of Germany; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron, Zane, Zoey, Ashlee, Anistyn, Oliver, Kai, Remy, Landon, Lila and Jayden; several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 23rd at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Monsignor Al Humbrecht and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the mass at the Church. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 9:30AM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
