Obituary of Pamela Goodlet Davis

Pamela Goodlet Davis, 71, passed away May 1, 2017, after a lengthy illness. Born May 17, 1945, in Chattanooga, Pam was retired from the state of Tennessee Department of Economic Development. She spent most of her life in the Chattanooga area, graduating from Chattanooga High School in 1963 and attending the University of Chattanooga. She was a member of First Baptist Church in the Golden Gateway. Pam fondly recalled adventurous days early in her career working for Eastern airlines as a reservation agent. She enjoyed keeping up with the latest fashion trends, especially in shoes, and modeled at one time for local shops. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph C. Goodlet and Bettie Lewis Goodlet. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, B. Franklin Davis, stepdaughter Elizabeth A. Davis and son-in-law Mike Finger, beloved granddaughter Meg Finger, brother Ralph “Cliff” Goodlet Jr., nephew Trip Goodlet and cousins Jimmy Goodlet, Joan Hamner and Jack Goodlet. The family would like to thank her dear friend Bobbie Nation and numerous caregivers for great support over the last months. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 in Forest Hills Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to First Baptist Church, 401 Gateway Ave., Chattanooga, TN, 37402; The Bright School, 1950 McDade Lane, Chattanooga, TN, 37405, or your favorite charity.
