Dear Susan, Jo, Daniel and Thompson- All the Alexanders loved your fun and precious William. He was always the light in the room as he pounded out our favorite songs on the piano and fascinated us with his talent. His smiling face will be deeply missed. You have my sincere sympathy for your great loss. May William be at peace and rest in the palm of the hand of Our Lord Jesus. Helen Alexander Franklin, TN

As a kid I knew William. He was so kind to everybody. I would run into him from time to time and he always stopped what he was doing to talk for a minute. I will miss him and thanks for the memories.

I am writing on behalf of Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure. We are an organization dedicated to significantly increasing dystonia awareness and to raising funds directed 100% into the high-risk high-reward research needed to find a cure. I read William's obituary and was touched by his warrior spirit. The contacts he made, the awareness he fostered, and most importantly the fierce spirit with which he clearly lived his life defines a warrior. He has inspired us, and reading this page has added momentum to our cause. God's blessings to his family. Ken Staab, Ambassador of Hope, Tyler's Hope for a Dystonia Cure www.tylershope.org

Sweet William. He was one of my residents at Thrive at Browwood. He was younger than all the rest but William never let his physical condition get him down. He kept a good spirit and a smile most the time. I could always count on William to make me laugh about something. Most of the time it was his blonde jokes..lol. Funniest thing he ever did though was wear his neck alarm home one sunday when his mom came by to get him. She came and got him every Sunday and usually she'd return him afterwards. Sometimes we saw them come in sometimes we didn't. His mom lived several miles down the road still up on Lookout mtn where our facility was. Our pagers kept going off signaling that William needed assistance. I went to his room...no William...i went to the rest rooms...no william...i went outside...no William. But the pager continued to go off over and over. I call his mom and hear William laughing in the background. That rascal had wore his alarm home and was playing a trick on us. We wanted to beat him. Of course that was just William. I have thought about him so much since leaving there and wish I could have seen that sweet smile just one more time. But i will one day. So happy for William. He now knows no more stiffness, pain and gloomy days. Today he walks the streets of heaven like he did before the disease struck him. I hope he behaves himself. So glad I got the pleasure of knowing this sweet soul. Love you William....always.......from Nurse Kim White

We of the Bandana Babes Washboard Band always loved singing for William's birthdays and other occasions. He was our mascot and biggest fan. His favorite song was Rocky Top, and we sang it for him many times. We loved William and will miss him and the inspiration he provided for us over the years.

I'm so sorry to hear of William's passing. I taught him in my 7th grade life science at ERJH. William was always a respectful and cheerful young man. I did not have the pleasure of knowing him as an adult, but know of his kind heart through reputation. May God comfort your family in this time of loss. Jeanette D. Underwood
