Obituary of Mildred Irene Hamby

Mildred Irene Hamby, 87, of Soddy-Daisy passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Hamby was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Albert Hamby; daughter Shirley Williams and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Betty) Hamby of Palm Coast, FL, Bill (Geneva) Hamby of Soddy-Daisy and Steve Hamby of Graysville, TN; daughter, Pat (Spencer) Jewell of Soddy-Daisy; brother, J.C. Smith of Florida; sister, Bobbie Woody of Hixson; twelve grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Alan Rogers and the Reverend and Honorable Clarence Shattuck officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to, New Salem Baptist Church, Media Fund, 9806 Dallas Hollow Rd. Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379. The family would like to thank Judy Parrott for her love and care for Mrs. Hamby.
