My father-in-law, Bill, was a wonderful man. I shared with him on his 50th birthday that I am so glad to have him in my life. He raised Zack to be a kind, loving, hard-working, and sometimes stubborn individual. (Lol). Without his influence, the man of my dreams wouldn't have so many of his beautiful traits. I will miss our deep conversations and the wonderful advice he gave. I will miss his "hello beautiful" every time I saw him and his strong hugs. One of the last things he told me in a philosophical conversation was that very few people have an original thought and cannot come out of the environments they are born in. He then said that there are a few lotus flowers that bloom through muddy circumstances and he looked directly at me. It warmed my heart to know he had such endearing thoughts about me. I will miss that chuckle and smile. All my love goes out to every person touched by him.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. Leanne I'm so sorry you have lost your soulmate. He loved you so....a certain special kind of look came on his face when he spoke your name. I worked with Bill for many years at Erlanger and learned so much from him some of which was about nursing....lol. His calming force will be greatly missed it was one of his gifts of which there were many. No matter how crazy things were at work when Bill was working it made you feel better ...I know his patients felt that. Somewhere he was needed more than here. On Sunday we will celebrate his being. Thank you for giving us a chance to do that in a way we all know he would love.

Bill is one of a kind. I have so many memories of great conversations while I was beneath his healing hands. I owe so much to Bill. He helped me work through hip surgeries. He streched, soothed and calmed in his sweet and concerned way. Your smile, hands, voice, and strength will so be missed. I bet you 're already busy in heaven helping others adjust. You were loved on this earth. Judy Young

Leanne, I am soo sorry for your loss! I didn't know Bill very well, but what I did see was that he was a calming soul. I always thought you two were a match made in heaven, two souls alike and meant to be together! I know that you don't talk to me anymore, but I will always remember how you parked you truck behind Rachelle and Kiyah that day on Hwy 153, and protected my babies like a guardian angel- still brings tears to my eyes whenever I think of it. I know Bill will be your guardian angel now- watching over you and your entire family! If you need anything at all- please let me know if I can help. Will be thinking of you often, and I hope someday soon you will be able to find peace again.

I had the pleasure to work with Bill for years. He had a laugh that would make you smile no matter how you felt, and once you heard that laugh you could never forget it. Peace be with you "Wild Bill"

Bill was one of a kind. He was so intune with his place in this life he always tried to pass that gift on to others. I will always cherish our talks as I passed through the units sharing his philosophy and insight as well as some good books to read. I already missed seeing him at the Baronness, I will forever miss him now. My thoughts and hope for peace are sent to Leanne and all of his family.

I worked in CSICU @ Erlanger with Bill l for several years and he always made work enjoyable and something to look forward to. He was an awsome nurse and a great guy, crazy about his wife and family . He will be missed as he was much loved and respected. My prayers are with you.

When Bill was on the unit, you knew everything would be okay, and that you would also likely leave in the morning with one of his midnight haikus. He had a profound reverence for the beauty and connection to something greater. He had his own words for it, and it didn't matter what your words for it were, he loved to talk about things bigger than this world. Such a sweet, serene spirit deceptively cloaked in tattoos and long hair - I enjoyed this camo, and it was a joy to know such a unique individual.

My memories involve nightshifts in an ICU, a DNR tatoo, conversations of patient care and the benefits of wholistic healing and massage therapy, which he was awesome at, btw! Bill was one of those people who you cross paths with and they leave an imprint on your soul. He was an excellent nurse, and co-worker. I had the privilege of working with both him and his wife Leanne. It is my sincerest hope that you Leanne and your family have peace during this very trying time. Hugs and prayers from Indiana.
