Obituary of Susan Wendolkowski Bryant

Susan Wendolkowski Bryant, 63, died peacefully Saturday, August 13, after a short, valiant battle with cancer. Susan was born April 28, 1953, to Joyce and Walter Wendolkowski in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her stepson, Johnson Bryant. She is survived by her beloved husband, Chris Bryant, her cherished children, Kate and Jamie Brennan, Patsy and Stuart Bryant, her sister Debbie (Bill) Godbold, nephews Chris (Jessica) Godbold, and Andrew (Lauren) Godbold, great nephews, Teddy and Beau Godbold, and numerous, loving friends and family. Susan earned her degree in education from the University of Tennessee. She was a master gardener, a former fashion model, and an etiquette coach. Her true passion was teaching yoga, and she became a certified yoga therapist, one of only a handful in the Southeast, building a devoted following of yoga students who adored her. Her family will have a private memorial service for her Saturday, August 20. An open reception to honor her life will be held that afternoon at Sally’s from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.
