Obituary of Tommye-Jo Penque

Tommye-Jo Penque of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Sanborn, NY, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 in CHI Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pascagoula, MS on May 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Shirley M. [Butler] Herring. Tommye-Jo was employed with the Niagara Falls Convention Center, Target and McKee for many years. An avid sports fan, she was devoted to the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, NY Yankees, as well as any team on which her children and grandchildren played. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, Tommye-Jo is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Louis J. Penque Jr., of Chattanooga, TN; mother of Jimi K. (Belinda) Penque, Louis J. Penque III and Amy F. Penque all of Niagara Falls, NY; grandchildren, Samantha, Louis IV, Thomas, Nathan, Olivia, and Addison; great grandson, Colton; sister, Judy (William) Johnson of Ocean Springs, MS. She was the sister of the late William V. (Yvonne) Herring of Grand Bay, AL and Amos G. Herring of Pascagoula, MS. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Her family will be present on Tuesday, from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM with Rev. Jim Bastian.
