Leona Sue Monday, 65, of Hixson passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 after her battle of three months with Steven's-Johnson Syndrome. She was a beautiful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, and friend who will be dearly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Barbara Clark, brother, sister, father in law and a grandson. She worked for many years at Abba's House Day Care. Leona was a devoted Christian and attended Dallas Bay Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eugene Monday; son, Shane (Karen) Monday, Soddy Daisy; daughter, Valarie Monday, Hixson; three grandchildren, Gwen, Kerrigan, and Destiny; five sisters, six brothers, several brothers in law and sisters in law, mother in law, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Dr. David McNabb officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 P. M. Saturday at Legacy Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00 A. M. Monday, July 25, 2016 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
