Obituary of James Owen Stanfield, Jr.

James Owen Stanfield, 61, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on January 7, 2025. James dedicated much of his life to construction, where his hard work and dedication were evident in every project he touched. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and hunting, two hobbies that brought him great joy and companionship. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Cannon, and his sister, Peggy Sue Cannon. James is survived by his loving mother, Darlene Cannon; his two sons, James Owen Stanfield, Jr., and Michael Shane Stanfield; and his five cherished grandchildren, Alex, Brilynn, Colton, Kaylah, and Madisyn and his cherished “fur-baby”, Dallas. He is also survived by his sister, Dolly Biddwell, his brother, David Cannon, and numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
