Obituary of Charles R. Giffen

Charles Giffen, 73, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 3, 2025, with his wife by his side. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Charles lived a life of faith, kindness, and service. He was a proud member of Central Church of Christ, where he found joy in fellowship and worship. A dedicated worker, Charles was a former employee of the state of Tennessee, where his commitment to his role earned him the respect of his colleagues and community. Born to Cecil and Elsie Giffen, who preceded him in death, Charles carried their legacy of integrity and compassion throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Debbie Giffen, whose partnership and love were the cornerstone of his life. Charles also leaves behind his cherished sons, Jon and Andy Giffen, his brother, Tom Giffen, and his four grandsons, Jordan, Jack, Bryant, and Dylan, who brought him boundless pride and happiness. Charles will be remembered for his unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. Memorial Services will held privately at a later date.
