Uncle,
I can’t believe you’re not here anymore, but I find comfort knowing you are in a better place now, free from pain and suffering. It’s easy to think we have more time, that we can always connect later, but in the end, it’s the memories we hold dear that matter most.
I’ll always remember the good times we shared—the hunting, the fishing, and even the brief moments of horseback riding when I was a child. Those memories are a treasure. I know your children, grandchildren, and all of us who loved you will miss you immensely.
I’m so thankful that, two years ago, we were able to reconnect after so many years apart. It felt just like old times, filled with laughter, jokes, and great conversations—exactly what I’d expect from a wonderful uncle like you.
Though we will miss you deeply, I take comfort knowing that you are now with our grandmother, with the children, and with so many others who went before you. You are in a better place, and we find peace in that.
We love you, Uncle, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of our family and friends who are grieving your loss. Until we meet again.
