Obituary of Betty Dowell Langford

Betty Dowell Langford, 93, of Hixson, TN passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at a local hospital.
She retired as a Special Education teacher and a realtor. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, collecting antiques and being a sociable person. Betty was most happy with her children and grandchildren. She was of the United Methodist faith.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Dowell and Ruth Officer Dowell and two sons, Tommy Langford and William “Bob” Langford.
Survivors include her sons, Michael (Malinda Stanley) Langford, Ted Langford and William “Bill” Riley Langford, grandchildren, John (Catherine) Langford, Julie Niblock, Kimberly (Ryan) Battle, Emily (Josh) Barton, Nancy (Jeremy) George, Holly Wolfenden, Carrie Langford and Mary Beth Langford, several great-grandchildren and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
