My name is Kimberleigh Thomas.
I am a child hood friend of Jenna’s.
I remember being a little “ankle biter” playing with Jenna and my sister Katie at Janet and Rob’s house. (When they lived by DuPont Elementary in Hixson)
He was building an extension onto their home. Just the structure was built, the “bones”.
We three girls would run around playing “The Charmed Ones”, a tv show about sisters who are witches, in the back yard. Rob was working away on the house.
I don’t remember details, but Katie and Jenna excluded me from the game at one point. Rob noticed and helped me get them back by spraying them with the water hose.
I tell this story to show the type of man Rob has always been. Swooping in to save the day. Helping out the little guy (or girl lol)
It was obvious he found joy and pride in making sure his family is happy and taken care of.
When I heard he passed away at home, it brought a little sense of peace to the tragedy. I can’t imagine he would want to go anywhere else.
Janet, I am so sorry. I don’t even know what words to say besides I’m sorry for your loss.
What I do know for a fact is Rob loves you beyond measurement. Ill be lucky to find love at half that measurement. You’re always in my heart. I’m always here for you and the kids (& grandkids)
Love you all very much. Rest in peace Rob. You will be drastically missed.
