Evelyn P. “Polly” Smith, 94, a long-time resident of St. Elmo, TN passed away, Friday, February 9, 2024 in a local healthcare facility. She was a longtime member and caretaker of St. Elmo Church of Christ. Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith ( a WWII veteran), son, Bobby J. Smith, sister, Jo Kirby, grandson, Stephen W. Smith, II and granddaughter, Bobbie D. Smith Bain. Survivors include her son, Steve (Donna) Smith, sisters, Marie (Jim) Mullins, Dimple Clack and Pearl Evans and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family, Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the St. Elmo Church of Christ 4713 St. Elmo Ave. Chattanooga, TN with Minister Tim Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at St. Elmo Church of Christ.
