Jeff & I are so incredibly saddened to hear of Jay's passing. We referred to him as "Mr. Margaritaville". He was such a laid-back, lovable guy! We always looked for his smiling face and waving hand as we passed his house! He never met a stranger and I know I speak for all of the neighbors who passed by his house when I say, he will be forever missed!! He was the friend and neighbor that everyone loved. Tracey, know that you and the family are in our thoughts and prayers! God Bless you and your family. With love, Jeff & Cindy Smith❤️

I first met Jay when we worked together many years ago at a dealership. I and everyone we worked with knew him as a jokester, with a great personality, very easy-going and a great guy.
One memory that stands out to me is the time when I left my van running in the middle of the shop. I stepped away to do something and I saw the van rolling forward but nobody was in the seat. I panicked and started chasing after the van thinking that it was going to crash into cars outside, and about the time I got to the van it came to a stop, and Jay's head popped up. He had laid the seat back so he could not be seen and when I got to him he was laughing uncontrollably. He saw the fear on my face and could not stop laughing. This is one example of how he endeared himself to those he worked with.
The world has lost a very special person and he will be missed.

I'll miss my fleamarket buddy and longtime coworker. We spent many a Saturday or Sunday perusing fleamarkets looking for that special tool or gadget, guns and ammo. He would drive 25 miles to pick me up and then another 25 miles south to Dalton. Goodbye , my friend . Fleamarkets won't be the same without you. Robert (Bobby) Weber
