Obituary of Elaine Mae Abbott Colby

Elaine Mae Colby Elaine Mae Abbott Colby, 93, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness on Tuesday, Jan 23rd, 2024. Elaine was born February 10th, 1930 in Northfield, Vermont to the late Arthur and Beulah Abbott. Elaine married Stanley C. Colby on April 26th, 1958 and was a devoted wife and mother, happily raising 3 children. She enjoyed listening to music and loved a good word search puzzle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley C. Colby. She is survived by her 3 children, James Colby of TN, Linda Higgins of FL and Karen Baker of TN; brother, Ronald Abbott of FL; grandchildren, Keefe Higgins of FL, Zachery, Jesse and Robby Vaughan, Christian Baker and Carly Baker all of TN and many great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mitch McClure officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
