Lois Marie Lippert Loved to read, devoted to family and friends. Lois Marie Lippert, 90, passed away on January 24, 2023 after living a long and wonderful life. Born in Wood County, Ohio, she was raised and lived in Wayne, Ohio until moving to the Chattanooga area in 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon “Hank” Lippert, parents, Kenneth and Thelma Ault and sister, Bonnie Everding. Lois loved to read, plant flowers, and travel. She was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. This started in high school at a local dime store and continued to do so until her retirement at age 87. Working places such as Hawthorn Melody Ice Cream, Cain’s Potato Chips and back to her real passion of retail when she started working as a cashier at the Bowling Green Walmart before transferring to the Soddy Daisy Walmart. She loved talking to her customers and coworkers as many of them became part of her extended family. Her family often joked that she was a local “celebrity” as people came up to talk to Lois from Walmart wherever she went. One of her proudest accomplishments was the work ethic that she passed to her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving mother to her sons Michael (Debbie) Byers, Gary (Sherry) Byers, both of Ligonier, Indiana, David (Barb) Lippert of Wayne, Ohio, Joel (Debbie) Lippert of St.Charles IL, and daughter Lisa (Philip) Hyman of Chattanooga, Tennessee, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, as well as a caring big sister to siblings, Irene Althaus of Tiffin, Ohio, Sharon Fisher, Orlando Florida, and Kenneth “Eugene” (Doreen) Ault of Wayne Ohio.
