Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Wene

Joseph “Joe” Wene, 42, of Hixson passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 2nd, 2022. Joe was a one-of-a-kind person. He loved his family so much. Joe coached softball for many years and touched so many lives. His trade was drywall finishing for 25 years. He was fun, loving, smart and had a heart of gold. He tried very hard in life and now he is at peace. Anybody that met Joe had a forever friend. He was a strong believer in God, and we know he’s in heaven waiting on us. He was preceded in death by his father, Tim Wene; grandfather, Ron Wene; grandmother, Marian Gilbert and aunt, Donna Horn. He leaves behind three daughters, Caitlyn Sky Wene, Sierra Nicole Wene, and Aliyah Marie Wene; a son Kaleb Parrish and grandson, Kamdyn Parrish. He is also survived by the mother of his kids, Jamie Mathis; mom; Joni Wene; brother, James (Ashley) Wene; sister, Kelly Scott; nieces, Lexi Smith; Lauren Wene; nephews, Logan Wene and Phillip Blood; grandmother, Bonnie Wene; grandfather, Carl “Kim” Gilbert and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
