Obituary of Lester Linzey

Lester P. Linzey, born March 24, 1947 passed away Saturday, June 25th, 2022. Les served in the Air Force and was stationed in Thailand. He then worked at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant until he retired. He loved his family more than anything is this world. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and watching them grow. He loved the Lord and attended Covenant Baptist Church. He was an avid reader. He loved reading Western books and watching Westerns on TV. John Wayne was his hero. He had a huge love for country music, his favorite being Miss Kitty Wells and Hank Williams, Sr. He is preceded in death by his Father, Ralph Linzey and Mother, Dorris Linzey and Brother, Terry Linzey and Niece, Stacy Holland. Survivors include, his wife, Shirley Linzey and their daughter Kelley Crawford (Mickey); Stephanie Hobby from previous marriage; his grandchildren, Taylor Crawford (Andréa Elrod) Zachary Crawford (Abbie Compton), Shelby Linzey (Mei); God Daughter, Jami Smith and sister, Beverly Holland. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, June 29th in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Odell Broadway officiating and military honors being observed. The family will receive friends from 11AM-8PM on Tuesday and from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.
