Obituary of Clarence Edward Brown

Clarence E. “Shot” Brown, 87, of Hixson, TN passed away on May 4, 2022 at his home. Shot was a 1954 graduate of Soddy Daisy High School where he was the class president. Upon graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He was an industrial engineer for over 30 years, spending most of those years with Tokheim Manufacturing in Jasper, where he was the plant manager. Shot was of the Baptist faith and had a servant’s heart. Before and after his retirement, you could find him serving his family, friends, and neighbors. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and attending their many sporting events. His life was centered around his family and friends. If you knew him, you loved him. Matthew 25:23 “Well done, good and faithful servant!" Shot was preceded in death by his father, Milton Brown; mother, Mary Brown; as well as 8 of his siblings. He leaves behind a legacy of love for his wife of 63 years, Mildred Brown; daughters Cindy (Ken) Jayne, and Tammy (Mark) Cookston; grandchildren Ashley (Phillip) Brown, Austin (Erin) Jayne, Jessica (Zach) Flood, Lauren Cookston, Brogan (Alix) Jayne, and Griffin Jayne; great grandchildren Caden Wingfield, Hunter Wingfield, Jacob Brown, Mia Brown, Ketner Jayne, Atlas Flood, and Wyatt Jayne; sister Hellen Blankenship; brother Randall Brown; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park with military honors. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9th from 6pm to 8pm and Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
