Obituary of Cathie Posey Smith

Mrs. Cathie Delane Smith (Posey) went to meet the Lord on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She passed away quietly in a local hospital with family in attendance.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Posey, life long residents of Soddy-Daisy; brothers, Russell E. Posey, Robert W. Posey, Charles S. Posey, and Thomas D. Posey; sisters, Mamie L. Davis (Posey) and Margaret A. Posey.
She is survived by her husband, John P. Smith Sr.; son, John Smith Jr.; daughter, Judy L. Hazelwood; grandchildren, Gage, Sophia, Sarah, Adam, Cameron and Eli; sisters, Wanda F. DeHart, Nannie M. Ritz, Patricia Houston and Wanda Posey; brothers, Randall L. Posey, Timothy A. Posey, and Roy D. Posey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marc Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
