Obituary of Josephine Sawyer

Josephine Lowe Sawyer Josie L. Sawyer, 82 of Hixson, TN went to be with Jesus Christ in Glory on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and was a minister’s wife for 20 years. She will be remembered for loving everyone, providing food and baked goods, for just about everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sara Ann Sloan Lowe, sister, Emogene Lowe (Pem) Webb, brothers, Arvil (Ellen) Lowe, William Lowe, Jr. and her favorite, Jessie Lowe. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Dr. Thomas H. Sawyer, son, William R. (Tammy) Runyon, granddaughter, Savannah “Paige” Runyon, sisters-in-law, Janice Lowe and June Lowe along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Services and interment will be conducted by her husband at the Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City, NC.
