Obituary of Margie L. Lasley

Margie L. Lasley, 89, lifelong resident of Hixson, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at her residence. She retired from Gold Bond, Inc., after 34 years, and was the longest-tenured member of Middle Valley Baptist Church. Her love of singing, cooking, and elaborate storytelling was known to many. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 70 years, Hayden Lasley, in November of 2021. Also, parents W.D. and Violet London, son Lamar Lasley, granddaughter Morgan Lasley, and brother John London. Survivors include daughter Sheila (Hank) Mallicoat, daughter-in-law Dana (Lamar) Lasley, granddaughters Lindsay (Josh) Killian and Lauren Condroski, great-grandchildren Kayleigh and Nolen Condroski and Lucy Killian, brother Ed (Mary Jo) London, and sister Patsy Pelfrey. A special thank you to Alan and Robin Cofer, Doug London, and Kindred Hospice for their love and care. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mickey Rector officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
