Obituary of George Louis Camilleri

George Louis Camilleri, 86, of Hixson, TN passed away Monday, February 14th, 2022 at Memorial Hospital. George was born June 26, 1935 in Astoria, New York to the late Louis Camilleri and Margaret Camilleri. He had three children, Greg (Sonya) Camilleri, Peter Camilleri and girlfriend, Chris Rutledge, Beth (Kenny) Hicks, his beloved grandchildren, Wesley Hicks and Sasha (Evan) Koch and his fur-baby, Beau. It’s so sad yet appropriate for our George to leave us on Valentine's Day. He was a great man, widower, devoted father, amazing grandpa, retired FDNY fireman, best father-in-law and forever friend. He was truly the epitome of love. He had the gift to make you feel at home the moment you met him. He was a constant in all our lives. So many fond memories, support and unconditional love and always making things fun. It helps ease our pain to know that our George spent this Valentine’s Day with his beloved wife, Carol that he lost almost four years ago. We will never say good-bye but will see you later, love your family. Per George’s request he will be interred privately at Chattanooga National Cemetery along side his wife.
