Obituary of Jimmy Saynes

James "Jimmy" Emanuel Saynes, 62, of North Chattanooga, passed away on January 8, 2022 in Soddy-Daisy, TN. Jimmy was born in Chattanooga to Silas Edward Saynes and Wilma Lanora Saynes on September 19, 1959. He married Patricia "Pat" Talley Saynes on January 7, 1980. He retired from the Town of Signal Mountain after 32 years and was a long time member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pi, collecting diecast cars, and loved animals. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Ed Saynes and Wilma (Melton) Hawk, sisters, JoAnn Clowers, Barbara Hoodenpyle, and Michelle Saynes, and brother, Wilburn Saynes . Jimmy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pat Saynes, two sons, Nick and Dan Saynes, daughter in law, Katy Saynes, two granddaughters, Kayla and Lily Saynes, sisters, Kathy (Ben) Dollmont, Stella (Jerry) McBryar, brother, Kenneth Saynes, sister in law, Dianne Saynes, and brother in law, Raymond Hoodenpyle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was loved by many friends, family, and others and will also be greatly missed by his faithful companion, Rosie. Visitation will be held at Legacy Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy on Thursday, January 13th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Stuart Heights Baptist Church Chattanooga Campus, 3208 Hixson Pike on Friday, January 14th with visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and service starting at 2:00 p.m with Darrell Davenport of Stuart Heights Baptist officiating. A private burial will be held in Hamilton County Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dollmont, Robert Dollmont, Benji Dollmont, Jamie Brown, Jeremy Reece, Ben Wyatt, Pete Galyon, and Jake Skiles.
