Obituary of JC Mincey

JC Mincey, 72, a life-long resident of Soddy-Daisy went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church, a proud self-employed carpenter, and was extremely passionate about sharing the gospel and ministering to others any time he could. JC was preceded in death by his father, Dave Mincey, Sr.; mother, Helen Mincey; brothers, David, Jr., Dillard, Maynard, Larry, Lloyd, and Toots; sisters, Aileen Rickets and Sue Ricketts. He is survived by his loving wife, Jessie Ray Mincey; three daughters, Ginger (Bart) Moore, Carla (Rick) Zareva, and Crystal (Michael) Hadwin; step-daughter, Julie (Tony) Kubik; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday at New Life Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin McClendon and Pastor Ray Dotson officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Blake Baldwin, Luke Hadwin, Dalton Daughtery, Dillion Daughtery, Michael Hadwin and Bart Moore serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
