Obituary of Dorothy Lee Evans

Dorothy “Dot” Evans of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 . She was the daughter of the late Guy and Minnie Sims. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She loved her family and her many friends, especially her Sunday School Class. She was happiest when she was gardening or baking cakes. She was in constant motion, never slowing down or resting because she had things to do and they couldn’t wait according to her. She is loved and will be missed. Dot was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Earl Evans, brothers, O’dell, Charles, Kenneth and sister, Edna. She is survived by sons, Tony (Gena), Roger (Linda) and Jimmy, grandchildren, Chris (Liz), Lindsey Ward, Tim (Leslie), Alex (Maria) and great-grandchildren, Sutton and LillieRay. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Alan Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Soddy-Daisy Food Bank, P.O.
