Nellie Martin, 90, of Chattanooga and formerly of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. Nellie was a domestic travel manager and retired from AAA after 30 years. She could tell everyone where to go. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burble and Ida Richardson; brother, Burble Richardson, Jr.; and sister, Joyce Furlough. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Allen J. Martin of Chattanooga; daughter, Ardis Cole of Virginia; granddaughter, Daren Beagle of Colorado; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws; Charles and Wilma Martin of Hixson; Joyce and Blaine Pennington of Chattanooga; Vickie and Roy Smith of Dalton, GA; and Susie and Danny Smith of Ringgold, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3PM Thursday, September 9th in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dwight Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date. Please observe social distancing and wear masks during all services.
