My dearest Pop. This is so very hard to write…I miss you so much already. I couldn’t have asked for a better man to step in as my dad. From the beginning, you were always there for all of us. never hesitating when we needed you, even when you were losing your sight. You had the sweetest heart of anyone I’ve ever known. There are so many sweet memories, even the ones where you and I moved us all by ourselves, many times. The last time, with both of us huffing and puffing, with a laugh you said “you’ve got to stop moving, I’m getting to old for this. I think one of my many favorite memories is when you let me ride with you in our race car running heat laps with you at the dirt track. I didn’t mind the mud getting slung all over me, because I was with you doing something you loved. Above all Pop, I am forever grateful you took the time to talk with me and loved me like I was your own. You always shot straight and always stood for what was right. You loved and enjoyed life to it’s fullest. When you smiled your face lit up. I could go on and on. I love and miss you so very much already Pop. Thank you for being the best dad ever.
