Rolph was born in Rochester, Minnesota on November 26, 1943 to Rudolph M. Landry, MD and Jane Willius Landry. Rolph attended Lookout Mountain School, McCallie School, Chattanooga High School, and The University of Chattanooga. Upon finishing at UC, he began work at the Hamilton National Bank and stayed until he went to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Upon returning to Chattanooga he started a 40 year career in Yarn Sales and began employment with Henry Crumbliss Yarns Company for whom he worked for 20 years. He then joined Macfield, a North Carolina yarn manufacturer who was later bought out by Unifi, Inc., from whom he retired after another 20 year stint. He was a 40 year member of The Lookout Mountain Golf Club, The Fairyland Club and The Mountain City Club. He was a Founding Member of the Debut Bash Society. He was predeceased by his first wife, Tida; his brother, Fred; and his son, Rudy. He is survived by his wife, Debra; his daughter Gray (Mickey) Bagby; his sister, Libby (Dan) Adams; and his three adorable grand daughters whom he dearly loved, Sarah Jane Landry, Tida Bagby, and Stella Bagby, and step-grandchildren, Cody Saylors, Courtney Harkey and Dusty Saylors. Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 21st at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain with Rev. Robert Childers officiating. This is for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers the family wishes any donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga. Arrangements are by Wann Funeral & Cremation Center.
