George Walter Gochenour George Walter Gochenour, 72, of Hixson, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in a local hospital. George was born in Woodstock, VA. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1968. He was an over the road truck driver for over 25 years and it was his passion. He was a big Tennessee Volunteer fan. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Jane Oden Gochenour, son, George Walter Gochenour, Jr., granddaughter, Cierra Nichole Walker, great-grandson, Kai Brandt Walker and his parents, John and Lelia Gochenour. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gochenour, daughters, Gwendolyn Parrott, Frances Thompson and granddaughter, MacKinzie Parrott. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Sam McConnel Sunday School Class at Hixson United Methodist Church, 5301 Old Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343.
