Obituary of Irene Faye Barbee

Irene Barbee Irene Faye Barbee, 67, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late William Robert Sneed and Lorean Elizabeth Carden. She was a devoted mother, wife, and mamaw, and loved her dogs Sophie and Chingy immensely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Barbee; brother, Wimpy Sneed; and Aunt, Reita Irwin. Survivors include her son, Seth (Nikki) Barbee; daughter, Misty (Jeff) Horne; brothers, Charles (Linda) Sneed and Harley Sneed; sisters, Sherry (Terrell) Orr and Lorean (Odie) Stewart. her grandchildren, Megan McDowell, Trinity Horne, Hunter Smith and Tommy Snyder, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kingsley for his love and care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 2PM in the funeral home chapel with Everrett Sneed officiating. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Tuesday and from noon until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Covid-19 mandates require social distancing to be observed and masks be worn during all services.
