Aunt Mec came to Tucson, Arizona to take care of me when I was born. My Father was in the Air Force and was stationed in England. So she came and helped my Mom and me. I loved her from an early age. We had many fun times together. We cooked together, laughed and cried together. There was a special chocolate pie we made together. I was about 4 years old. We made this pie and it was by the sink waiting to go into the oven. I washed my hands and the soap slipped out of my hands and splashed into the pie. I was afraid she would be mad at me for ruining the pie. Aunt Mec just laughed and said Honey don’t worry. We can fix it. It’s our secret, so don’t tell anyone. When we sat down after dinner to eat that pie I could hardly wait to see what everyone said after they tasted it. Could they taste the soap? No! Everyone loved it and Aunt Mec and I always laughed about that pie!
Aunt Mec loved her family with her whole heart and soul. We were so blessed to have her in our lives and we will forever cherish our memories we made with her.

Mildred and I worked together in Human Resources for many years. She taught me so much. She always treated me like I was one of her kids. She talked about her family all the time and loved you all so much. I have missed having her in my life since we left Red Food all those years ago. She was a wonderful lady and she will always be in my heart. I am so very sorry for your loss.
