Michael Preston Williams, 67, of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and played the bass guitar in their worship band some years ago. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and music. He loved his family, and he especially loved being a granddad. He retired from TVA after 28 years of service and was a member of the Red Bank Masonic Lodge #717. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil (Shrimp) Williams and Naomi (Judy) Pickett Williams, and his brother, Steven R Williams. Survivors include his wife, Linda Coffey Williams, son, Mathew Preston Williams, daughter, Lindsey Williams (Alex) Stewart, grandchildren, Isabel Ruth and Hattilyn Grace, sister, Debra Williams Champagne, and several extended family and friends. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at the Rock Bridge Community Church, Hixson, TN with Rev. Tim Williams officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Legacy Funeral Home, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379, (423) 843-2525. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike’s name to Rockbridge Community Church with “Missions” or “HOPE for the Homeless” listed in the memo.
