Ray Lamar Vandergriff, Jr. Ray "Frog" Vandergriff, 80, of Hixson, TN passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at his home. He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle and the Iron Workers Local # 704. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vandergriff and his parents, Ray Vandergriff, Sr. and Artie Hamill Vandergriff, brothers, Thomas and Jackie Vandergriff and sister, Christine Blanks. Survivors include his daughters, Victoria Vandergriff and Rebecca Vandergriff Goins, step-son, Jimmy (Christie) Carpenter, step-daughter, Janie (Scott) Bargerstock, sister, Marie Vandergriff, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hixson Cemetery with the Rev. David Stancil officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
