Although my husband, Sam, knew Jim from their McCallie days onward, I did not become his friend until he was well into his 80's and swimming at South Branch Rec. He was a fish, fully occupying the upper right corner of the pool! Jim had many swim buddies there. He took time to greet and talk with all before plunging in at the 10 o'clock hour. He will be missed by those of us who knew him in the water. Our condolences to his family, Roberta Tillery Miles
