I have such fond memories of the trips I took with Esther--especially Chicago and Johnson City. Esther was such a multi-tasker at one point she was working at the law office, organizing Choral Arts, hosting Covenant staff, students and faculty, and taking care of her own family. It was such a WOW that I would take her a bottle of wine, the only way I thought I could help! I love you, John, and Gretchen, Rebecca and Kristine; I haven't left you yet. O, dear Colette! It is so lovely to hear from you! We miss you terribly! Thank you for sharing your sweet remembrances of my mother. I well remember that emergency bottle of wine that you mentioned! Too funny! My mother got a lot of laughs out of that, as did the rest of us. Colette, we miss you SO much!!! I wish so much that I could talk with you! We will continue to pray for you, dear, precious friend.
