Obituary of Vernon Eugene "Gene" Meyer

Vernon Eugene "Gene" Meyer passed away on February 27, 2020, at home with his loving wife Jean by his side. Gene was the youngest son of the late Frank (Katherine Alexander) Meyer, Sr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Judge Doug Meyer and Frank Meyer, Jr.
Gene was the owner of many beauty schools in the Chattanooga area and the Carolina’s.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Fernandez Meyer; son, Josh (Vanessa) Meyer;
daughters, Melody Meyer (Bo) Turner and Melinda Meyer; five grandchildren, J.T.,
Rachael, Ashley (Steven), Charles and Madison; two great-grandchildren, Crimson and Stetson.
Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wann Funeral Home, 4000 Tennessee Avenue Chattanooga, TN 37409 and a visitation on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 501 S. Moore Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412 from 12:00 until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park in Red Bank.
