Charles Richard Goodner, 69, of Chattanooga passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in an area hospital. Mr. Goodner retired from Ken Smith Auto Parts and was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.P. Goodner, Jr. and Olley Jo Goodner; grandson, Garrett Morris. Survivors include his daughters, Erica Bradley and Stacy (Jonathan) Murphy; sisters, Patti Smith and Jennifer Goodner; grandchildren, Austin Bradley, Hayden Murphy, Mykayla Bradley, and Reagan Murphy. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Morris Hill Baptist Church, 1804 Morris Hill Road Chattanooga, TN 37421 with Rev. Jake Carroll and Rev. Bill Mason officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Tennessee, 461 Craighead St. Nashville, TN 37204. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
