Obituary of Gary Wayne Johnston

Gary Wayne Johnston, 69, of Hixson, TN passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, at his home.
He retired from Alstom Power in 2012 after 40 years of service. His passions in life were old cars, motorcycles, and his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bea Johnston.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Johnston of Hixson, son, Anthony (Jamie) Johnston, Hixson, TN, daughter, Amanda (Daniel) Winn of Soddy-Daisy, brother, Bill (Donna) Johnston of Powder Springs, GA, sisters, Debbie Trivett of East Ridge, TN and Wilma (Dave) Hamm of North Las Vegas, NV special cousin, Doyle (Kathy) Johnston and grandchildren, Parker Johnston, Maggie, and Wesley Winn and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
