Obituary of James Thomas Bowers

James Thomas “Tom” Bowers, 58 years old,  passed away in Italy, due to an accident on Nov. 14 2019.

Mr. Bowers was born on September 2, 1961, in Loudon, TN. He was formerly of Soddy-Daisy and was living in Fort Wayne, IN at the time of his passing.

He worked  for Coca-Cola for 16 years, then went to Pepsi and worked there 15 years.

He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, traveling, the beach, Tennessee Football, and spending time with family.

Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by his father, James Bruner “Cub” Bowers, Jr. and mother, Margaret Ann Chambers Evans; grandparents, Buck Chambers, Della Chambers Smith, Bruner Bowers, and Frances Bowers.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Desma Hasty Bowers; daughters, Amanda (Blas) Roche, Tiffany (Sean) Casto; son, Jeremiah (Wendy) Moore; sisters, Robin (Jimmy) Blaylock, and Benita Evans; grandchildren, Cameron “Tyler” (Alayna) Casto, Maddie, Clay, and Rayleigh Moore, Madison and Jacob Kendall; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2019, in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
