Obituary of Charles W. Evans

Charles W. "Chick" Evans, Sr., 82 of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at his home.

He was a former member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, a long-time lumberman selling building materials since 1960, and was the owner of Chicks Lumber Co., Inc.  Chick was an avid fisherman and a founding member of Soddy-Daisy Bass Association. He was a member of the Home Builders Association and also enjoyed skiing, camping and boating. 

 

Chick was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who helped so many.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Hicks Evans, parents, Theodore Isaac Evans, Sr. and Faith Elliott Evans, sister Mary Guy Blanton and brother, Theodore I. Evans, Jr.

 

Survivors include his son, Charles W. "Chick" (Tammy) Evans, Jr., daughters, Allison Evans (Tim) Gilbert and Cristi Evans, grandchildren, Nikki (Michael) Roberts and Charles W. "Trey'  Evans, III, great-grandchildren, Brenan Roberts, Cora Jo Roberts and Avery Evans as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

 

All services will be held privately.
