Obituary of Mervin Lee Reed

Mervin Reed 74 died peacefully at home Thursday, October 17th 2019. He was born in California but lived in Chattanooga most of his life.

He graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1965, then served in the US Army as an image interpreter from 1966-1968. He received the Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

 

Mervin was a sports enthusiast and many of his days were spent on the golf course.

He was a longtime employee of Combustion Engineering, retiring in 2003.

 

Mervin is preceded in death by his mother, Camilla Reed. He is survived by his son Stephen Reed and daughter Rachel Randolph (Garry). Grandchildren Blake Reed and Allie Graham. Great-grandson Ashton Reed.

 

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Forest Hills Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
