Obituary of Karla Sue Uptain

Karla Sue Uptain, 62, Hixson, TN passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 in a local hospital.

She enjoyed dancing, spending time with family and friends, cross-stitching and she was of the Christian faith.  She was a strong and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Edward Partin, second husband, Richard Don Uptain, parents, William Arthur Jenkins and Lena Pauline Jenkins, granddaughter, Layla Marielle Sloan and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Marie (Robert) Sloan and Connie Corkern, grandchildren, Lucia Van Hooser, Leia Sloan, and Lilith Corkern, best friend, Drue Trent and several brothers, sisters, and extended family.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. Jamey Eggert officiating.
