Obituary of Walter Cullars, III

Walter Cullars III of Lookout Mountain passed away April 1, 2019 at his residence. Walter was born September 22, 1931 in Randolph County, Alabama. He was an Auburn graduate, member of the ATO fraternity, and ardent Auburn football fan. Walter served as an officer, pilot, and photoanalyst in the US Air Force in the 1950s. He spent his long post-service career as an accomplished designer, research development specialist, and executive in the textile industry in the US and internationally. Walter’s surviving family includes his wife Vanessa Cullars, son Justin Cullars (Cam), Knoxville, TN, sister Dorothy Cullars Waugh, Canton, GA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Lookout Mountain on May 18^th, and private interment will be in Opelika, AL.
