After retiring from the laundry business, he sold residential real-estate for Herman Waldorf & Co.

Mr. Brown was a past member of the Fairyland Club, the Lookout Mountain Investment Club and a member at The Church of the Good Shephard.  His fond memories were of his life-long friend Reid Moore, his days at Baylor and summers spent at his grandparents’ house on Nantucket Island.
