Pamela White Jones, 67 of Chickamauga, GA and former resident of Sandy Hook, CT was born November 29th, 1950 in Lexington, Kentucky to Russell Edwin White and Betty Lee White. She passed away suddenly from an acute illness on September 30, 2018. She is the mother of Kyle Jones Hawkins (Tim) and Cannon Jones Wenzel (Nick) and the widow of Stephen (Yogi) Jones who preceded her in 2011. She is survived by her mother Betty Lee White Estabrook of Lookout Mountain, TN, sister Danalee White Gaddis (Reggie) of Chattanooga and brother Edward G. (Ted) White II (Karen) of Knoxville, TN. Her niece Lee Gaddis Walker (Taylor), nephews Scott Gaddis (Julie), Andrew Gaddis (Meredith), Lex Gaddis, Tripp White (Sarah), Will White (Laura), Jay White (Maggie), Graham White and grandnieces and grandnephews Ellee and Chloe Walker, Madeline and Beckett White, and Caroline White.
Pam was born in Lexington, KY and moved with her family to Green Bay, WI where they have maintained a beloved home at Shore Acres. The family moved to Chattanooga in 1968 and she graduated from GPS in 1969. She attended the University of Alabama and obtained a B.S. in Library Science. She was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. Pam met her husband Yogi in Tuscaloosa and they were married on Lookout Mountain in 1974. They moved to Manhattan in 1977 and then on to Sandy Hook, CT where they resided and raised their two girls for 28 years. Pam and Yogi moved to Chickamauga, GA to be closer to family in 2005.
Pam had a zest for life and her beloved family and friends were at the center of her world. She never hesitated to connect with friends and let them know she was thinking of them. A service and celebration of life will be held Friday October 5, 2018 at 3:00 pm at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350.
